Industry Commitment
Vodafone is a founding supporter of the AMTA Mobile Phone Industry Good Practice Guide: Accessibility for People with Disabilities, which provides guidance to the mobile industry on developing more accessible products and services for Australians living with disability.
Accessible Telecommunications Resources
We proudly support initiatives like the Accessible Telecommunications Project, led by the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network. This includes:

Accessible Telecoms – Australia’s first independent, nationwide service offering up-to-date information on mainstream and assistive telecommunications products tailored for people with disabilities.

Services include referrals for device set-up, training, ongoing support, and equipment access.
National Relay and Government Services
The Accesshub, a government initiative, acts as a central hub for information on communication solutions for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech impairments.

Within Accesshub, the National Relay Service (NRS) allows customers with hearing or speech difficulties to make and receive calls confidently.

The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS), also offered by the Australian Government, helps those who speak languages other than English access telecommunications services.
Device Accessibility
We also support the Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative (GARI), helping customers choose mobile devices that meet their individual accessibility needs. You can explore supported devices through the GARI Database.
